At its meeting held in Vienna recently, the CELIMO Council elected Mr Hank Oude Reimer as its new President.

Mr Oude Reimer has been a member of the CELIMO Board since 2015, representing FPT-Vimag, the Dutch member of CELIMO.

He takes over from Mr Erdal Gamsiz who has led CELIMO since 2019, taking the organisation through the Covid pandemic during which most of our meetings have had to be held on-line.

Mr Oude Reimer will lead CELIMO for the next two years and aims to increase its membership;  this could be either associations representing importers, distributors and dealers of machine tools and related equipment (CELIMO Full Members) or, in countries where there is no relevant association, from individual companies (CELIMO Associate members).

A major event coming up is the CELIMO International Meeting which will take place during EMO in Hannover on Wednesday 20^th September.  Details of this will be posted on the CELIMO website as soon as they are confirmed.

CELIMO Economic Presentation 2020 (Dec-20)

During the recent EMO exhibition, CELIMO hosted an International Meeting which featured presentations on the economic situation in Europe, India, Japan and the USA. You can download the combined presentations below.

The meeting was attended by 90 delegates from 16 countries. Of course, it is impossible to document the many informal discussions that took place over lunch, so plan to be there when we repeat this event at EMO in 2021 in Milan. CELIMO has published a new document which sets out guidelines for a contract between an agent and the supplier of machines or equipment.  This document is available to members of the CELIMO Associations and to Associate Members of CELIMO.

This document covers agreements where the agent receives a commission on business which is arranged on behalf of the original supplier;  CELIMO is developing a parallel document for distribution agreements and this should be available in 2014.

CELIMO has published this document whcih is in parallel to the Agency Agreement Guidelines which were published in 2013.
